Vrs struggle to start?

Featured Replies

Hi I have just got back off holiday after 10 days got to my car all started fine nothing wrong. Drove for couple of hours. Been out the shops today and went to start my car when it was warm and turned over for about 5 seconds before firing in to life. Didn't think much of it, drove it and all is fine. But now for some reason it keeps doing this same thing when starting. Let it cool down but still does it. Even when I start it and turn off it still does it when I repeat the process. And idea what this could be its literally gone from being fine to struggling to start from one turn of the key to the next!?

Cheers Tom

Tom,

Sounds like the battery is not fully charged.

Might be worth putting it on a charger overnight.

Sorry I might have not explained clearly enough when I say it struggles to start, there is plenty of power in the battery it's not struggling to turn the engine over, like it would if battery was flat/low. It turns over fast just takes about 5 seconds to kick in to life. Almost like there is no fuel getting th the engine then when it gets fuel it starts. If this explains it more clearly??

Fuel filter?

When was it last changed?

Nice easy start anyway, could be a camshaft sensor etc also...
