Bought a Comfort Furby last year, which the previous owner requested it be fitted with a Meta Systems alarm, as he lived in a supposed scary part of Dumfries.

Great, but how do I leave the windows open / leave a dog in the car and not have the alarm going off every coupla minutes? Previous owner kindly kept the alarm manual :(

It works off the Meta remote. Also, I've got a small black plastic Meta key thing, any ideas if this deactivates the alarm, as there's a lock looking thing in the dash near the steering wheel that it fits in (haven't turned it tho - fear of sending Furby wonky hehehehe)

thats for when the battery is dead, open the car normally and stick it in. it'll de-activate the alarm

Yep the small key disables the Meta alarm. IIRC theres a keyswitch on the back of the alatm unit located under the bonnet. There should also be a Meta transponder type key which can be used to activate / de-activate the alarm by pressing it up against the contact switch.
