Hi everyone.

My name is Ben, I'm from Southport near Liverpool and I'm 21.

I have owned my Skoda Fabia VRS MK1 for around 2 months. I bought it strictly for my new job, which is a 120 mile round trip 5 days a week.

My opinion on the car, it is bloody brilliant!

Here is a picture of it how it stands. I will have a look around, however i do have a couple of questions:
Can I start a thread on my car?
Do i have to be a freedom member?
What is a freedom member?

You can start a thread in the Fabia project section, you don't need to be a Freedom member.

 

Freedom lets you view the Freedom section with its discount section and sell things on the site, you also get a free sticker. 

Hi John, Brilliant. Don't think I've ever been on a car forum where somebody is actually from or works in Southport! Where about's do you work?

 

Still going strong I see though. I would like to say i'd have this in ten years but with the mileage I do I highly doubt it! You have a build thread I could have a mooch at?

I work in kew my the hospital on the retail park. Either in my vRS or Nicci 's blue clio 182. We both work there.

No build thread for me as it's fairly standard compared to others.

It's been pretty reliable. Currently rebuilding one of the rear calipers due it it seizing. Found this out when fitting a recon one on the other side after the bleed nippy thread had gone at oulton park :(

Ah yes. I used to work at Homebase so I used to ride through the car park. Pretty sure the Clio a couple of times but not your Fabia! I'll be sure to give you a wave if we ever happen to cross paths.

 

What does the remap give you? I doubt mine will be anywhere near some of the cars on here but it's always nice to show everyone what you have! Get one sorted John!

 

Was oulton park a briskoda thing? How much are they as new? Pretty sure I saw some on ebay.

Oulton park was a trackday with javelin. Few of us went. Was a good day. If your interested just keep a look out in the events section.

Remap is nice. You can get around 170bhp from are cars. I've ran mine with and without for probably around 60k each.

Welcome . I also have a black mk1 fabia vrs and love it. Had it around 16 months and afew mods later it looks ace . Still standard engine though. For now :p

what's javelin John?

Brilliant. Yeah, considerable gains for both bhp and torque. And economy stays close enough? would you highly recommend the usual brake upgrade, clutch etc?

Nah ive still not mastered all this trying to get photos up . Am not good with the technology and have no patience :p. Just got tinted windows and wind deflectors on coilovers. Custom black and green badges. Gunmetal standard wheels cupra splitter black grill tinted black headlights and yellow fogs

Oh and pressed plates h.i.d lights and a woofer in the boot :p

Sounds brilliant mate! Like the sound of pressed plates. Think that will be a new year purchase for me!

I already own a ford fiesta 1994 si which is undergoing a lot of work, so yes the mod bug is well and truely underway... Again!
