Throttle response

Featured Replies

Is there any way that it can be improved?

Just driven my mates octavia that has 100,000 miles on top of mine, and the same engine, and his has incredible response! I was a little miffed as mine is nowhere near as good!

For starters, new air filter, then ensure that everything electrical is switched off, then disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, then re-connect and leave to idle for 30 minutes without touching any pedals or anything electrical.

Thanks mate. I'll do this. I hope it works because the difference is astronomical!

So, I did this today, and it didn't make any difference :(

What does that do ?

Re-sets the ECU.

That's just the way the Fabia is......I find it the main difference between driving the Octavia and Fabia.

I always thought the throttle response in the Fabia is awful, and would really benefit from being improved. The only way I can think of doing this is to get a decent tuning box that offers throttle response adjustment.
