A2DP Audio Streaming on Bolero. GSM II vs GSM III

Featured Replies

Real quick question. I *think* GSM II in Yeti with Bolero supports Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming, but I can't remember for sure. I just want to make sure there's no point in adding the GSM II premium BT to my yeti order. Searching yielding inconclusive results.

Oh and also, as an aside, has anyone used it with Spotify on an Android device. Does it work well?

I don't know about android but if I use Spotify on my iPhone it always works with Yeti but in my rapid the steering wheel controls don't work with spotify?

And your yeti has the standard GSM II bluetooth, not GSM III premium bluetooth?

For sale thread coming soon. It's had the air suspension and porsche brakes taken off and brand new 312 discs and pads, drop links, top mounts / bearings fitted. I'm getting the OEM 18" zeniths refurbed, taking out the recaros and putting the standard seats back in, refitting the original steering wheel and she's about ready to go to a new home.

What does the optional £120 version do over the standard one as far as I can see it has the rubbish voice command

I think the main thing is rSAP, so the gsm radio functionality is in effect outsourced to the car's hardware and antenna, possibly yielding better signal strength?

Maybe, when I noticed it on the options list I was a little surprised as it already had it as standard (Bluetooth) so I wondered what might be missing thanks for that ;)

 the rubbish voice command

I use the voice command all the time. It works flawlessly for me. However yesterday I had a lady friend in the car with me and when asked by the car whether I wanted to do something, replied Yes "please" so as not to sound rude. I heard the dreaded word "sorry" that jo-multimillion had warned me about when i bought the car nearly two years ago.

In the Octy III the additional Bluetooth option is apparently some form of amplification of the Bluetooth signal just ahead of the gearlever..................  I have never had an issue with BT signal in my car with various iPhones, so really do not see the point of this option.

Edit:  see this thread on the Octy III forum:  http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/283017-bluetooth/
