Recommend Skoda Approved Body Shop - Co Durham

Featured Replies

My wife's 62 plate Skoda Fabia has been bumped on the rear passenger quarter panel.  Dents, crease, light scratches and a small paint crack.  Dent removal not possible as the panel is double skinned and the paint has been damaged.

Any Skoda approved body shop recommendations in the County Durham area ?.

Should I consider a smart repairer ?.

Colour is Rosso Brunello pearl.

insurance job? or did toe rag not leave details?

Parent's neighbour admitted it.  They have left it to us.  If it is reasonable they will pay for it - if it is costly they will go through their insurance.

Bodyshop or smart repair - any thoughts ?.

Bodyshop estimate includes a lot of unecessary work I think.  They are wanting to paint the rear door also - only a tiny scratch on that.

Smart repairer in mind seems to do good work.

Go to a quality bodyshop for me, don't follow why the dent can't be sorted, unless this is the word of the smart repairer.

My experience is that there is next to nothing a quality bodyshop can't bring back to like new. That and a bad bodyshop will turn a moderate repair into a straight up disaster, seen friends cars left cross crossed with rotary damage.

I guess my suggestion is take it somewhere reputable, I can't see how smart repair can ever do the same job as somewhere with good indoor facilities.
