So had the power steering pump replaced but still have this fault...

Fault code 050A power steering control unit / ref voltage short to earth.

Any ideas?

Main wiring loom will have water damage , replace it sunshine.

Where abouts should I replace it from?

Is it easy to do?

How much did you pay for the power steering pump to be replaced mate?

Was done before I bought the car so can't say.

If a customer asked me I'd quote about £100 + parts.

Second hand + £80

Recon/new + £250

I happen to have one from a low mileage vrs, about 30k miles so might fit that one and see if the previous one is faulty.

Will have to check wiring first though.

Thanks, just wondering how much to budget as I have a power steering issue and just incase it is the pump....

I've had the fault once previously and it was the angle sensor, cost £5 from a scrap yard and a easy fix.

Any other suggestions?
