Hi, got my vrs in May . It had been serviced but the indicator light ( the spanner ) was still showing on the dash so I reset it myself.

Last week the spanner light and 1000 came back on so I'm assuming it's saying it needs a service in 1000 miles. I'm confused by this since the car has only done just over 4000 miles in that time.

Am I missing something?...

Followed a video on YouTube.

Press the knob near the clocks, turn on ignition. Depress knob. Turn knob to the right.

Is this not correct?

I would get someone with VCDS to check it for you and check the intervals

Ok. I assume you mean service intervals? Would they really be that close together?

You can alter them with VCDS to be whatever you want them to be.  Fixed interval is 10k/12months
