Advice for centre caps in Steel Wheels

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I must first apologize in advance for my English. I'm Spanish and I do not control much language.

I´m looking for a centre caps for my newly purchased steel wheels in silver colour. I read in the Yeti forum that probably, the best caps for this type of wheels are the VW Caddy´s caps, but I´m not sure about this.

The measures of the purchased wheels are: 6,5Jx16 5x112 57,1mm et33. Yes, I know that the original et are 46, but in this color only exists this as the most approximate. Comparing the new tire with my current golus 18", the steel wheel protruding 5mm in outer face, 13mm offset for each axis and 31mm less in each tire on the inner.

With these measures....you think that would work vw caddy cover?

And now....what type of cap? Doubt among:

Any other option?

Obviously I'll get some stickers with the new logo skoda.

These are two chops I've done with the tires and similar caps in my Octavia.

Thanks!

Great success!!  B)

I will share some information about the weight of the wheels...probably someone may be interested.

-Golus 18" wheels with Continental Sportcontact 2  225/40-r18  ----  21,5 kg or 47,3 pounds

-Spare wheel with Michelin Energy Saver 205/55-r16  ----  16,3 kg or 35,86 pounds

I will experiment and take note of fuel economy and performance with my new 16" wheels and the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance (205/55-r16 91v).

I also want to compare the comfort of the car with one and another wheel, because my car has the sport suspension and combined with the rim 18 is a little uncomfortable, but not excessively. What most concerns me is a bad aging car and my back with that hardness.
