hello from newcastle upon tyne

Featured Replies

hi everyone I joined a short time ago after I bought my Octavia 1.8 20v turbo estate on a 2000 plate as a work horse as my van died. love the car quite rare car so I'm told as it has full leather. I don't sit around with my cars Iv only had it 3 weeks had a few faults when I got the car, it was hunting at junctions, no temp reading and a few squeaks from the engine bay and no indicators so I ordered a new temp sender, thermostat, alternator belt, timing belt kit and hydraulic tensioner, hazard switch and indicator stalk. all fitted now all squeaks and hunting gone also car pulls a lot better and everything works as it should. only one fault left some code to do with the throttle body unsure what the code was at the moment.

I have a ram air cold air filter on its way for the sound

the other cars I have are

1985 mk1 Vauxhall nova 1.3sr I have had this for 2 years

1982 mk3 ford escort 2.1 zetec turbo currently being restored for the second time in 6 years I have owned it for 12 years now
