Cam cover gasket repair

Featured Replies

Hi, picked my car up after major service at skoda dealer yesterday and the receptionist pointed out that the mechanic has reported the cam cover gasket is weeping slightly, they didn't have one in stock so couldn't do the job yesterday, she then told me it would be £192 for the repair.

When i got back up off the floor I said i'll leave it for now and get it done later, does anyone know if this means the cam belt has to be removed for the repair or is it just the rocker cover gasket that needs renewing?

Its a 2006 petrol vRs.

?? any thoughts??

Cam belt definitely doesn't have to be removed. Just the cover.
