I'm thinking of buying a Citigo Greentech 75bhp 5dr Elegance and have some questions about using the PID to play my music.

Can I link it up to an iPod? If so, does it come with the cable needed to do this, or can I order one from my dealer (I'm in the UK)?

Alternatively, if I transfer my music to a microSD card, is there any way I can preserve the playlists that appear in my iTunes library when I do this, and can I also select and play a playlist using the PID?

Finally, can the PID stream music from an iPhone or BlackBerry using Bluetooth? If so, what is the sound quality like, and again can it play playlists, or do I have to select albums, artists or individual songs?

You can play your ipod through the 3.5mm aux in.

Any 3.5mm jack to jack cable is fine, about £1.50 on ebay

And yes you can stream music.

Some people report slight breaks in the tracks at times, but generally pretty good

Better to just put your music on an SD card like I have

I haven't got mine yet but I understand that the PID doesn't support gapless playback from the Micro SD card. This may or may not be important to you.

Bluetooth,Aux in,Micro SD it's got everything :)

Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk.

if you have a new generation ipod with Bluetooth you can stream music direct, but ours is a bit hit and miss if the ipod will connect to the pid via bt,

phones and other devices no problem, ipod, depends how it feels

don't forget to register the PID and do the software update within 30 days of the first time it is connected to a car, also the 1st 30 days is the time limit to take advantage of the cheap map and service offers

Mine occasionally froze. Only done it about 4 times during navigation in as many months, but I got sick of it so took it to dealers and they said "it wouldn't take a software update" so am getting a new one ordered. Am hoping it's gonna be the new version since it's getting ordered direct from Skoda as new.

Result!

Does the PID have its own internal memory too?

yes, but only for software, maps and apps, not music as far as I am aware

music and images have to be stored on SD card

Thats correct

Internal memory is too small for anything other than maps and software.

Memory cards are so cheap these days anyway (especially to what they used to be!)

Whats the max it can take? Does it play films too?! :)

1TB max and plays Hi def films

So if your stationary waiting for someone, you can stick a film on!?

Yes, and the glovebox dispenses popcorn as well :D

Can I just clarify that point on movies? Is that true or is someone taking the mick there. It's certainly not advertised as being able to do that?

haha...Sorry fella

Was just messing with Leon

lol I thought that may have been the case. But was too excited by the prospect to let it go :p

Haha Sorry Ollie

Damn you! I believed you too Damo!

:giggle:

Ok so I got my "new" PID today................it wasn't the new one with GARMIN written on. I was seriously unhappy. However, on the up side of things, I did figure out how to get the maps discount even though the 30 days had expired! It has nothing to do with the first registration of the device, it has to do with when YOU create an account with them. The new device was brand new yet wouldn't allow me to redeem the code in the booklet. So I just made a new account and registered the device to that and BOOM!! It worked :-)

So, for all you that think you missed the boat. You haven't ;-)
