Retrofit cruise control

Featured Replies

Seem to be getting mixed opinions, I'm thinking of fitting cruise control on my 2009 octavia is it just a case of fitting new stalk after removing steering wheel etc then coding with vag com,,, or will I need to tap into ecu, I'm made to believe pre 2005 do need addition wiring but my 2009 model is simply plug then code then play, any help greatly appreciated

No messing - new stalk and code it in.

Check which steering controller you have fitted ( http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions) to see if its compatible with CC, but I think 2009 it should be.

Pretty sure that the extra wire was only between 2005 & early 2007 (or thereabouts).

And I don't think it was until 2010/11 that the (expensive) combined CC and wiper stalk was introduced.
