New here with my Rapid 135 RiC

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am a reasonably recent new owner of a very clean and well looked after Rapid 135 RiC, 1991 on a J, 2 previous owners and 30,000 miles. I am quite involved with Skoda from a business side and have been for 16ish years and have not previously joined here but wanted to share my car and seek advice from other RWD owners. The car is currently being freshened up for an MOT but is really only minor bits and pieces (brake pipes, discs and few other small items mainly from lack of use) car has not been taxed since 2009 and is currently on SORN, to be taxed and registered in the New Year.

I will add some photos and will no doubt need to ask some questions or source parts along the way!

 Lovely car.

I didn't appreciate Skoda had a dark blue in their colour range. Would look a treat parked next to mine.

We really need to get all these rear engined Skuds together for s day out. Great car. Is it a conversation piece at the dealership?

Congrats! It's a really nice gem.

I'm also having a RiC in beige (color code 2040), yours is royal blue (color code 4633).

Cheers

Köny

Here is my royal blue Estelle 125L:

Hi thanks for taking a look, really impressive build and Rapid you have! Really would like to find another one that I can play with more. Great colour choice and suits the Rapid perfectly but did quite like the purple Corrado option too. Apparently my colour is Royal Blue. Generally very good nick but is fading and polish/finesse does not last long so will need some paint over the winter but keeping it original.

I am up in Edinburgh area but a meet next year would be great.

Hi Kony, great pair of Skodas and thanks for letting me know the original colour.

Skoda Owners Club Stanford Hall 2014 would be a good meeting point.
