Considering New Citigo

Featured Replies

Hi

My brother is considering buying a new Citigo Sport. I just wondered what kind of discounts people on the forum had managed to achieve on same or similar models. Best so far is a couple of hundred off the list. How does that fair with everyone else?

Any feedback welcome.

Thanks

As Citigo is reasonably priced already they cannot give so much discount. Dealer counts percentages. Customer counts money. That's the problem. ;)

It seems not much discount is available on them due to the high demand (they don't need to discount them).  You might get a deal through in internet broker, but still only a few hundred at most i've have thought.  You could strike lucky somewhere and find a cancelled order they're prepared to discount a little to move it or a dealer needing that last sale to make the months figures - luck of the draw though.

I got my Sport as a pre reg with only 5miles on the clock for £8995

I was a very happy buyer :)

Maybe he can drop on a similar deal.

Best of luck

I got mine new for £9399 on the 0pc pcp deal from lookers. There are deals out there you have to be persistent and shop around.

Also, I find if I go into a dealer and let them know if they will do the price I want I will sign up there and then, then you tend to get offered good deals as they know they aren't wasting their time.

Any dealer who won't give you at least 375 off a sport doesn't deserve your custom, either that or you are gullible who doesn't deserve a discount!

I saved over £600 last year on our 5 door Elegance going through a broker www.carfile.net The discounts this year are not so great but better than nothing.

If you can wait for one to be built they are the new OTR prices and willing to travel a few miles to a dealer to collect when it arrives then give them a ring.

It's a simple process and something I would have never even dreamed about doing before, for just the price of a phone call. Must say I was lucky, a simple £7 bus ride away to collect the car when it came in at the dealer.

I have no connection with the above company, just saying they were 100% straight forward to deal with.

I bought my elegance GT for about £17000 (converted from NOK). (Thats with most accessories except sunroof.)

Norwegian car prices are really really really really expensive. As cars go in general, thats considered a cheap car here in Norway.

The starting price for the base model is about £13400.

(Did i mention that cars are really expensive in norway?) :)

Btw, all skodas get "free" 5 year warranty included in Norway.

Thanks for all the posts really helpful and informative. Makes one particular bid he's received online appear very competitive. Also makes me glad he's not buying one in Norway ;-)

I'd want a life time warranty at those prices :giggle:

The savings I made going through the broker, enabled me to spec up the Elegance with extras like metallic paint, entertainment pack, sunset glass and a spare wheel.

loadinglevelone: It may not tell the whole truth if you convert your prices to another currency. I've been told your price level can't be compared other countries. Thanks to the oil you have there?

Yeah, true for the most part. Car prices are still expensive though when one takes into account the differences in yearly gross income.

But hey, always fun comparing prices :)

How the hell did you manage to get that...????????? I just had a chat with the Dealer in SE (Dartford) and they won't give me a discount on the Factory new or even Showroom car...!

I'd say try another dealer. Lookers in Manchester still have the PCP deal that I got, which is 119 down and 119 a month for 5k pa. This works out at approx. 750 discount.

Just phoned Preston Motors in London and asked to give me a quote. waiting for them to call me back.

It was an offer that Westover Skoda had on, to celebrate the launch of their new premises

Demand does seem high at the minute, so I guess deals are harder to get just now

Preston Motors got back to me...No Discount at all available they said as i want the car on PCP Interest Free.

Options we want extra are:

Spare Wheel

Serpens alloys 16" (White or Black...Hmmmm....??? )

Package Convienience

Package Safety

It equls to £11,450.00 on the configurator. I might get some freebies like mats etc but I guess no chance for any discount on the car... :wonder:

Earlier in the year I got a £830 discount off a factory order from my local dealer...but there was only a 10 to 11 week wait at the time.
