Speed at 2000rpm

Featured Replies

Does anyone have the speed in each gear at 2000rpm for a Fabia vRS 2006 to hand?

Thanks.

that would depend on which engine and which gearbox they have.

Thanks guys. I think it is either the HDS & JNC gearbox code, so question answered!

Is there a better box to put in?

There is no "better" box really.  It depends what you want.  The longer box like I have means you often need to flick between 5th and 6th on motorways, etc depending on inclines.  However, due to the longer ratios I need less gearchanges on quarter mile runs as it will redline to a real 120mph in 4th.

This is because at 2000rpm I'm doing about 80mph. :D   When I am (of course :D) doing the speed limit, it's about 1800/1700rpm, and this is quite off boost for me.  It does mean the engine is working less on the flat/downhill, so is a little bit quieter than an engine revving around 300rpm more at the same speed.

I've got the shorter box in mine think 2000rpm is about 65mph. It sits at 2200rpm at 70
