Someone has been kind enough to smash the NS front window on my car over the weekend, and while they were at it made a bit of a mess of the door too (how hard can it be to aim at a window?!).

Window is covered by windscreen insurance, but when the glass people came out to replace the glass, they said the mech inside is broken too, so they can't replace until fixed.

Added to the cost of doing the dents/paint, I think it'll be cheaper just to buy a whole new (second hand) door, with glass already in it.

Does the Octavia I door fit the Octavia II? The doors look very similar, and I have seen some stated as fitting both, but I know breakers often get confused, and usually won't know the answer to something so specific.

Additionally, do the saloon and estate models have different front doors? Again, they look similar, but I know on some other cars they are slightly different.

Any help much appreciated!

As far as I'm aware, the doors from the Mk1 & Mk2 are completely different.

I doubt the MK1 and MK2 doors are interchangeable! Maybe MK1 and MK2 are being confused with MK2 and MK2 face lift which I believe should have identical front doors (Don't hold me to this though).

Guy has written, fits 2001-2008 models! Doesn't sound right to me either, but I know some other cars share doors/body components over completely different models, and would be very helpful if it was!

The mkI Octavia was produced until at least 2008 in taxi spec. mkI and mkII doors are completely different.

Are the saloon fronts the same as the estate? I'm guessing the rears are different?

They look the same, but I don't know definitively.

Can someone clear up whether the scout door is the same as the standard estate door other than the trim. Likewise the wing will the same (Mk) fit other than the trim being different.
