Delivery Charge

Featured Replies

Just been looking through my paperwork to check the spec on my VRS was what the dealer had recorded, and noticed a £425 delivery charge! Is this a standard thing buying a new car or just something the dealer has managed to con me on?

It should no have an effect on the price, this is the delivery cost from the factory to UK dealer, it is an included item and is often shown on the order form - like the road tax - this is included in the "on the road price" but they often have to break it down for the order form, especially if they have given a discount...I used to work for Skoda so filled out plenty of these in my time!

Hi there, I noticed this charge on my vrs order form and wondered what it was. I think I just presumed it was a standard 'built-in' charge on the order. I assume this charge is built into the cost of the car, no matter what deal/price you agree with the dealer?

Here in Germany all dealers (all makes) try to get a delivery charge then knock it off and tell you what a great deal they are giving you.

Delivery £425 + VAT on my order form.
