Best video player for Android

Featured Replies

As the title says, which is the best video player for using with android?

I'm looking for an app that'll play the most video types with the best quality, etc.

That's got to be VLC then!

That's got to be VLC then!

Good shout!

I use MX player from the play store, seems to play everything I hurl at it

VLC here, plays every format I have encountered.

Is there a new VLC version for droid, as last one I had was just for streaming and wouldn't play stand alone files IIRC

I've got VLC (Beta) it plays streaming media as well as that stored on the device (as far as I'm aware) and MX Player installed. Both are free and it covers just about all bases.

After further investigation it appears I had a bunko version on there just installed the bona fide beta

MX player + the extra codec to decode DTS audio.

I've used both MX player and VLC, and have a slight preference for MX player. Both my phone and tablet are on the quiet side, and MX player includes a hardware decoder that boosts the sound.

^^ agreed

Mx player here too
