Goodbye Roomster, Hello Superb!

Featured Replies

After 6.5 years I said goodbye to my Roomster. Had a drive up to Rainworth, with my three year old son, to collect my new 2012 Superb Estate. I knew it had KESSY and Park Assist, from the advert and my previous visit to view and test drive the car. Both options I was hoping to have. Only found out, as I was about to start journey back home, it also has a heated windscreen.

Whilst Pacific Blue would not have been my preferred colour, I am liking it much more than I thought I would. But the main thing for me is the comfort of the Elegance, and the way the DSG is so smooth. I am absolutely loving it! Can't wait to get in it again today to drive a bit more!

Also excited about finding out how all the toys work. Hubby phoned whilst I was driving back, and as Rainworth had paired my phone up, I was amazed at how good the in car phone system works. Never seen anything like before. My little boy loved hearing Daddy talking to us, whilst we were in the car.

It is nice having the full postcode Sat Nav and the speed limit show up too. I think hubby is a bit jealous of that as his VW Touareg Sat Nav has not been updated and is still on 5 digit postcodes.

Chrome trim around rear windows (and front and rear badges) were replaced as they were showing signs of milking when I viewed the car. Umbrella is still missing, and despite initially being promised one, there wasn't one available yesterday. But I have been promised the umbrella will be posted to me.

I am so pleased with it. As much as I loved the flexibility and the quirkiness of the Roomster, and it was the first and probably only brand new car I have ever owned/will ever own, the comfort and style of the Superb feels like such an upgrade. Will be driving on some of the more rural roads in the area later today, so that will be interesting to see how the drive compares on these roads.

Although I have seen it said so many times before, I have to say it...the Superb is superb! :-)

Excellent - certainly a step up from the Roomster
