RAC rally next weekend (10/11) anyone?

Featured Replies

I know, it's just not fair. I will probably have withdrawal symptoms. But as you say not long till grizedale then the Christmas stages at Croft a few weeks later on the 28th, and knockhill the week after to start the year again.

The flags just add a bit of colour to the stages.

Rang several times now, but just kicks into the answer machine.

I'll keep trying.

Do they have a website?

You out on the Grizedale then RJC? (30/11)

They're always looking for marshals if you're interested?

Unfortunately she couldn't help, but put me in touch with another farm B&B even closer to Sunday's stages, who could, so just to say, cheers Slider. You're a good man!  :sun:

Looks like I will be making the trip down to the lakes, don't like getting withdrawal symptoms.

No. Wiltonburn farm/Country Cashmeres, just outside Hawick.

Your friend Mrs Hepburn was very helpful.

Strenuously stressed the importance of NOT driving into 'Briory Hill' which many have done accidentally apparently.

Asked what would happen if I did, and she just said DON'T, as you will NOT be given a warm welcome!

Have a great weekend at the rally guys, very jealous of you all! :)

Oh yes! OH YES!

Now THAT was awesome! Granted, greatly helped by unbelievably excellent weather.

Crackin' drive up there, (always love the 'going over Shap on the M6 bit) superb accommodation (to myself), friendly fellow enthusiasts on stage, and some absolutely stonking cars to watch, and some weren't holding back just because the cars are old either.

Datsun 240Z,.Rover sd1 and Healey 3000's got my vote, all ponderous granted, but wow, took me back!

Just need to shovel the car clean now!

Nice to see some WRC drivers in town today. . Don't really follow it but enjoyed watching them on the Great Orme and the finishing presentation with Ogier being the winner. null_zps03455f51.jpg
