I have the fabia 3 on the standard 16" alloys. Tyre size 205/45w16. I looking for set of winters but struggling to find that size. What other size would anyone recommend ?

There are some bargains on eBay at the moment, search that size and the word winter, there are some new good years at about &90 each I think!

205/45 R16 is not really a difficult size to get.

Or maybe 195/50R 16  (then the correct speed & load rating, but all should be OK for your car.)

Not always actually a greater total diameter, or narrower tread, depends on brand.

You have several local places that should have them or get them by Monday at as good a price as any online.

I'm running Hankook Winter I*cept Evo tyres in that size on my Fabia, I got them from www.oponeo.co.uk last year for £80 each.

 

You could always buy some 15" wheels and put some winter tyres on those instead. The tyre size for 15" wheels should be shown on the inside of your petrol flap & 15" tyres should be cheaper.
