Are these sill protectors necessary to protect the sills or are they just a style thing?

Primarily protection, but you still want some that look good too ;)

Yea they look decent. Could you do me a favour and measure the length of them? I might get these ones for the front of my 5Dr.

They are 925mm long. Would have thought a set for a 5 door would be available.

Not had time to fit properly yet but here are a couple of pics to show what they will look like;

Yep, I'll be ordering another set soon for my Citigo when it arrives.

just needs either the stainless plates on top or a good quality decal to finish off

the way they wrap the whole sill is the best I have seen, just need a last bit of detail to finish them off

good to see the 3m tape is on ready to apply, no messing finding the right stuff

Fitted them for Dad this afternoon, took no more than 15 minutes.  Cleaned the sills with meths and a quick wipe with the cleaning cloth included with the instructions, pull off the tape, line up and press down. Job done. Dad is pleased with them and I will be getting some soon too.

I've had the Rearguards on our 3 door Citigo sport for a month and they are excellent - much better value and more effective proctection than the tape versions. Makes the doors a snug fit. The colour of the plastic is a good match too - looks fatcory fit.

Some may remember Richard Grant making spoliers and other accessories in the 80's.

I had though about getting  sport stickers like the one on the wings - that could work

Well I eventually got a reply from rearguards to say they won't be doing a set for the 5 door  :@

Time to get the tape out & see how the 3dr ones will look in the front of my 5dr.

I have just ordered some  from rearguard for my citigo they look good

Hi Simonj and redfastback how long did it take to get your sill protectors from rearguard I ordered mine on Wednesday not had email or anything despite ringing them so thinking of cancelling or are they worth the wait ? @Mick 50

If you only ordered them on Wednesday, then I would give them at least until the following Wednesday before thinking anything was wrong

Guessing your the kind of guy who wants things pronto lol

Thanks Simonj and damo for getting back to me they have charged my card so they must be Processing order and yes I'm the want everything yesterday type lol

Just that my choccie lab is a clumsy *** and I don't want sills scratching to bits .

Mind you if I left the dog at home swmbo would stay at home and I would get a peaceful drive :)
