Insurance - it's good to be old(er)

It's been done similarly before, but I stuck it to "the man" at the weekend.

Current policy (36, 9 years no claims, wife as named driver with 3 points, couple of windscreens and a claim) - £360.

Renewal quote - £480!!!

Best price from current insurer's new panel - £450.

Three comparison sites later, best quote - £177 - Admiral.

I plugged in my full details and changed a few bits, but ended up with £202 (guaranteed no claims).

Nice.  Now I might try and persuade Mrs PDIBK that I can spend that saving on something else...
