Cigar/cigarette lighter

Apologies if this was covered before but I cannot find it.

Today some staples fell into my cigar lighter. Now normally this would cause the fuse to blow but NO not in mine. It actually created a lovely little flame (sarcasm). And obviously with the crappy instructions and my shock & horror I couldn't figure out which fuse to pull out.

Thankfully however I took out the fuse and removed the offending staples.

Thos is more a word of warning to you all as we all know that this stays on forever AFAIK and could be a potential hazard.

I am constantly using a phone charger in it but remove it when I am finished with the car for the day. Will have to be careful in future and put the plastic 12v fake lighter into it when not in use.
