Does anyone know much about ABD Racings products. I'm considering getting one of their TIP for my Octy RS as i believe the Samco ones are no longer available, so Forge have told me anyway.

I have the ABD TIP fitted to mine. Not much to know about them, is there?

ABD and Samco TIP are completely different...Samco is made of silicon and goes all the way from the turbo to the MAF whlist the ABD one is metal and just replace the standard TIP.

Price wise they are approx the same..circa

...whilst the ABD one is metal .....

....and its nice 'n' shiney.....

I'm assuming that the stock intake pipe fits into the TIP no problems, or do i need to replace it aswell? It's says on their website fits in 30 minutes, is that true?

not sure 30mins is acurate, i havent fitted one but have ben told its not as easy as you'd think. might be wrong though. shame samco have stopped making the TIP, i'm told its much better than the others offered.

I know , JBS told me it was the best one available, apparently Forge are working with a company in France to produce a new one but it won't be ready until late this year.

Had the ABD one in my vRS, its nice and shiney and can be changed for the stock one in 30 mins without the use of ramps. Its quiet difficult from above the car but can be done. The ABD one plugs straight into the stock pipework, before starting make sure you have a few p clips.

What do i need the P clips for? :confused:

suppose its to stop the pipework from popping off when the boost picks up.

Ah, right. Is it obvious where to fit them. Are they on the standard TIP?

would have thought so... where a pipe fits the TIP there will more than likely be a lip of some description so about there would be good.

The clips fitted to the oem pipework are a use once fit, so you need to replace them when reassembling everything.

take jubilee clips would do the job as well then !?

then P clips are a b*tch to get off as well.
