0-90

Featured Replies

been experimenting with 0-90 times (not counting)

the best way to go is:

1st 0-15

2nd 15-27

3rd 27-65

then strait to 5th on to 90

going from 4k in 3rd then 5th drops at about 2.3 so back in T zone

any one know if this harms the transmition

(this is with a green filter)

Fabia Vrs Of Course

IIRC, someone posted up some torque curves showing optimum gear change points.... a search should hopefully turn it up :D

Chris

Not another one of these threads  this has been done to death on here!

I very much doubt those figures actually. Its definitely quicker to take it to 4,500 rpm in every gear.

And what you say about the torque zone is not right either, because any advantage you might have by "being in the torque" is lost due to being in a higher gear.

0-91 is the real test

0-91 is the real test

Octy. 1st.. to 8000... 2nd to 8000... 3rd for about 0.05 seconds. 90mph.. give it about another 4-5 second and 120 then fourth and 140.... then fifth and nudging 180....

job done.. you have just been "Baron'd"

:D

It's only a Skoda. Are you sure it goes that fast ;)
