Hi lads,

 

Im due to change gearbox EHA on my vRS . Got a gearbox with a code ERR, and the man I bought it from saying its from vRS 1.8t, strange is it. Just wondering can i put this box to my vRS, and did anyone deal with ERR gearboxes. Any info please, would be nice, thanks

The only ERR I've seen listed is a short-ratio O2M box, but the workshop manual I found is dated 2000

The ERR was never used on a Skoda. According to my own notes, it was used with the AUQ, so it should fit.

* The 02M gearbox actually has two final drive ratios. The first one is for gears 1st to 4th, the second for 5th and 6th.

 

So its a 6 speed box, so it wont fit it in vRS as i understand

The info I've got on the 02M ERR lists it as for 180ps cars, which is often the AUQ engine

 

All the cars on that list came in 180ps/6spd versions

So you mean there are 02M ERR boxes with 5 speed?? 

The 02M ERR is listed as a 6spd box

There are 5spd 02M boxes though (6th gear blanked off), as fitted to the TT roadster
