Free extended warranty upgrade

Featured Replies

Has any body been on the 'Build your own Skoda' feature recently?

Right at the end it there are 2 options for 'extended warranty upgrade' No cost.

1 extra year (4yrs) or 80K miles.

or 2 extra years (5yrs) or 100K miles

An error no doubt.

On the Octavia III ByO it's £535 for 2 years; be nice if it was free mind and more on par with some other manufactures.

TP

An error no doubt.

The smileys were not working so after editing the post it duplicated another one. :notme:  So you see it wasn't my fault coz I don't know how I did it !!! :giggle:

no chance guys I tried with the dealer no go, complained to Skoda UK they  rang back apologised saying its an error and they will fix it  ! "all errors and omissions exception"  - same as may contain nuts. its in the small print

I just ordered a Yeti having looked at the configurator and seen the free 5 years warranty extension. The dealer said his system was coming up with it as a cost option and... today the £0 extension on the configurator has changed to £640 :(

Got this option (5 year extended warranty) FOC due to the delay assoicated with my L&K order and the wait time. :-)

Whilst I'm sorry to hear you didn't get that as a nice free option I'm relieved I didn't get ripped off when paying £640 for the five year warranty last year, only for people to get it free now!

When did you order, how long have you been quoted and have you had a build date yet?

Might be a good idea for all us  "long waiters" to ask for this FOC.

I placed my order on the 8th August. The Dealer spoke to me when they told me I would no longer be getting a pre-FL. I sounded very disappointed and said I would think about it. I then went in to the showroom to collect me deposit. A discussion was had and I said compensation would be required.... I asked for the 5 year warranty....let them keep my deposit for another week... a week or so later Skoda and the Dealer both confirmed this had been agreed and my order was altered to include it. Job done.

so in all I received a 5% discount of the pre-FL price, retained this discount and pre-FL price, FOC 5 year warranty, 3 years free servicing, 0% rate..... Works out to be a really good deal now! against the FL price anyway.

The dealer called me on Monday this week to confirm it has been built already and is at the port waiting for shippment.  Will be with the dealer in the next few weeks and it will be their first FL to arrive.
