Radio code / Alarm code

Featured Replies

The handbook for my ICE (Stream MP3) says that my car might be fitted with comfort coding system which doesn't require the entry of a code after the battery has been disconnected and reconnected.

Is there any way to tell beforehand? I don't have a code and am pretty sure I never have.

Also, what about the alarm? Will that need resetting?

I'm beginning to realise that a lot has changed in the 17 years since I last bought a battery

Many thanks.

If it is the original radio then it will almost certainly not need the code.  I don't know if you can tell in advance.

Alarm will be fine.

You will need to reset the one touch function on the windows.  Open the window all the way then close and hold the button up for a moment, repeat for the other windows.

Well that's good news - thanks very much

It will automatically remember the code. The only time it will ask for it is if you fit the stereo in another car.
