Wing mirror cover removal

Hi, im wanting to spray the wing mirror caps on my mk1 fabia. im just hoping someone can shed a bit of light. ive removed the bottom screws on the housing and managed to get the mirror glass out, i broke it in the process but anyway, i have also removed the screws inside the housing that holds the casting for the mirror base to the cover but still no movement? i appreciate any replies in advance

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? I was looking on autodoc to try and order some nuts as I didn't know how often they

Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD. Only on setting 2 it’s not mega bad but it is getting worse gradually I guess it’s a dodgy bearing anyone else had it and if so was it covered by warranty ? And no it doesn’t play any tunes ….

Hi everyone, I’ve got a 2021 Superb S EL. Fantastic car, very comfortable. I’m thinking of ordering a new Superb Sportline. Has anyone driven both these trims and can tell me how to compare for comfort ? I recently tried an Octavia Sportline and it was too firm for me. Every bump was felt in contrast to my Superb. I’m hoping the Superb Sportline will be ok with the DCC in comfort mode but it does have large wheels. I realise I should really get another S EL but the Sportline looks nicer in

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just
