P0135 error and wont start

Featured Replies

Hi my car won't start, on 2 ocassions it has started and died after a few seconds but does start if I push it and pop the clutch. On and of I have had error code P0135 can this be connected ? Today it died again and wouldn't start even when I pushed it and popped the clutch. 2002 Octavia 1.6

I don't know if this is any help but the definition for code P0135 is O2 Sensor heater circuit-malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)

Thanks ! is the crank sensor something I can fix myself ?

Where is it located ?

and is it something a non mechanic can do ?

Crank sensor is just behind the oil filter at the front of the engine. Simple to change.

Yes the crank sensor is easy to change. Im not saying this is your fault tho

new crank sensor but not running

I noticed that i didn't hear the usual humming sound when i get ine the car.... fuelpump?

or is it the imobiliser ?

If it's first thing in the morning u should hear the fuel pump prime when u open the drivers door

Have you checked the fuse for the pump? Start with the easy stuff first

is the fuelpump something i can fix myself easily ?

Easy enough as it's in the tank. Just lift the rear seats and you should see an inspection panel for it but are you sure it's pump related? Do u get the pump whine when u open the drivers door?

Check 409 relay
