Fuse 48 - Dash Panel

Featured Replies

I am hoping one of the techs on the forum can advise if it is OK to use the unassigned fuse 48 in the dash panel to power a Dash Cam and charge a phone.

Fuse 48 is a switched live and I have wired it into a 3 way power socket in the drivers side mini glove box. Have tested it to plug in my Dash Cam and it it works perfectly but I am wondering if using the fuse in this way will cause a diagnostic error if I try and draw a couple of amps from it.

Rather not use the try and see diagnostic approach.

Will post up a step by step installation with pics if this is safe to use.
