Cut the CAT out today... car feels so much better

Featured Replies

I heard that CAT's on diesels were non restrictive, but since getting rid of mine and welding on a straight pipe, the engine seems to rev so much more freely, and is just generally a nicer drive.

:)

Excellent work Dan, bravo

have you had it made so you can slip it back in when MOT is due?  this is my plan when I remove the cats from the Golf.

dont need a cat on diseasal Jamie they only need to pass a smoke test

really?  why do they fit them when manufactured?  unnecessary.

Thats correct for the moment, but what will you do when we come into line with the rest of the EU and introduce emissions testing on diesel as well.

Nothing planned yet, but its only a matter of time.

With any luck the EU will have collapsed before that happens..

Reduction in smell, hydrocarbons and Carbon monoxide it'll get clamped down on and how many people will have weighed them in at the scrappy and need a new one from dealer at ££££££

Its almost like they planned it ?

Mine seems to spool a lot quicker with my cat but was over boosting quite a lot. Might be worth logging boost on vcds as when I had mine mapped and looked it was unreal how much it was over boosting
