Mk1 octavia heated windscreen

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if any companies out there are able to supply and fit a heated screen? Obviously I'll sort wiring switches ect

Ricky Evans Motorsport- You'd need to check that this really fits a stock factory Octavia

They have wiring diagrams too

Quite tempted by the idea, had a heated windscreen in my old Granada 4x4

They fit, and they're in stock

Have fabia windscreens too

I had a heated windscreen in both a Sierra XR4 and a Mondeo Ghia back in the late Nineties.  Awesome feature, by far one of the most useful things a car can have - and sadly hardly any cars have them.

Icy cold morning with a frozen screen - no problem.  Start the engine, press the button, by the time you've put your seatbelt on the screen's done its job, just flick the wipers on once to clear the water and you're good to go.  Handy in conditions when the windscreen's steaming up, too.  I once got a quote to have one fitted to my Escort from the main stealer as the switch wiring was already there (standardised loom I suppose), even so it would have cost £900 at the time!
