Wrapped pics?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have their car wrapped? I'm thinking of getting it done but needing some ideas! Not sure if have a black spoiler, roof, bonnet and mirrors would look good on a white car.

It will make your car look like a taxi. (only my opinion of course)

Someone on here had their whole car wrapped in matt black.

That'll be me. I did it myself, lot of fun but time consuming.

That looks sick! How easily does it come off again?

I've no idea as I've never removed a piece that's been on the car for a while, but I'd imagine it'll come off ok if heat is applied and care is taken

How much did that cost?

I got hold of the vinyl for £260

Had one of my old cars wrapped me and a mate did it.

As already said bonnet and big panels is easy it getting it to fit odd shape and the body creases that the fun part. It is removed with a little bit of heat from a heat gun with no issues.

Have you looked at Plastidip paint instead as well can have loads of colours and peels of when you want a change.

So you did it yourself Harry?

I have been told by guys that deal with that material that a steam machine is the best way to remove it. Something do with being able to heat up larger areas at a time, they did say something else but i don't remember.

?

Your VRS looks stunning, especially with the blacked out wheels. What colour are your wheels? I want to get my Zenith wheels resprayed in Gloss black.

What you recommand?

Thanks mate. They're just your average gloss black team dynamics pro race 1.2s.

I went for these wheels mainly for the performance benefits but they also look kinda cool. I had 19" audi r8 reps before these

I think you should black out the rear windows in black, then it will be in stealth mode. R8 reps are pretty common, team dynamics really suit the car.

Did you respray the front grill in black or vinyl wrapped it?

It's all vinyl wrapped. I agree about the windows it's something I've always wanted to have done but just never got around to actually doing it

thats a very nice looking car

How does the wrapping look wi regards to door shuts and sills. If you went from say white to black, would you be able to see any white from the outside (even just a tiny bit) or is it all covered?

The only silver you can see is where there are stone chips in the vinyl on the front bumper :)

If you get a company to do it, just check them out on forums etc...

I had Valet Magic do my Nissan and where they cut around the material scratches were left in the paint that were visible when the wrap was removed.

Not good.

I've seen the PWPro time lapse videos of their wraps and they seem outstanding, Richard. You chose a better company second time around that's for sure.

Yes, Paul at PW Pro has just done another ex-VM car with scratches... :(

Harry_vRS did I see your car at Lincoln College last week?

No mate
