Sun Visor Clip

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Some how, my "better half" has managed to break the drivers side sun visor clip, I have found some on eBay (£4.99) but I was wondering if they were easy to replace? I had a quick look in the dark this morning but couldn't see how to remove the broken clip? Is it a roof liner down job or are there hidden screws somewhere?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Cheers,

Dave

Is there not a little pull off cover with a screw behind

As Autic said, lift the tab & torx screw underneath.

Needs a good pull from one end to get it out though. Other end had two tabs that won't pull out without breaking.

Had that happen on my last 2.0FSi, while under warranty (!). The service manager fetched one out and fitted it in about 30 seconds!

I busted mine a good few months ago but mine has the extra side visor attachment on it and its proving a nightmare to replace :( Apperently skoda dont do a replacement part for the dual visor and a whole new unit has to be bought!!! Luckliy the Dealer is going to order the whole thing and just change it over FOC seeing as ive waited about four months.

When the tech came out to have a look he just pulled the cover off and i think there was a wee screw behind it.

Can confirm it’s 2 torx screws that it in.

Skoda parts have them for about €12, plus delivery. Note that it does not include the outer cover, so don’t break that taking it off. It just pops off gently.

IMG_7679.jpegit’s nice to see companies using the smallest reasonable packaging for items to be shipped… ignore the empty jar in the sink.

Anyway..

Took about 80 seconds for Spud Sr to swap it for me. He wanted to try, I let him have a go. He’s 11, so that’s how simple it is.
