Xenons need replaced

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My Fabia vRS is up for MOT at end of January 2014.  The self levelling system on the xenons hasn't worked for a long time.

I have been told by my mechanic that each headlight will need replaced (the adjustment motor is wasted).  I can't find anyone apart from Skoda who can supply a replacement part and they have quoted me £500 for each headlight and that's not including carrying out the work to actually replace them.

Has anyone else ever had to replace the xenon headlights and what did you do?

Thanks,

J

The adjustment motor is removable and the same as the ones in a normal halogen headlight so just get a pair of them, they just pull out, bit tight mind but they do pull out.

Thanks for that.

I'll have a word with the mechanic on Monday
