2008 Skoda octavia vrs tdi scans

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone with the same car as me have or would be able to give me the coding data from the central electrics module?

I have an fault with my car where the bulb warning light pops up when my lights turn on (sides or dipped beam) and when it does the left indicator on the dash flashes quickly (outside is normal), rear parking sensors wont work, but indicating right will make it go out and braking will eventually bring it back on. no problems when my lights are off. I did make changes on vcds to enable a few features before the problems started. I recently scanned and it shows a fault on a trailer light (no trailer is fitted)

So Wardy has suggested comparing my coding to a standard car or maybe even just a working car would be good!

I dunno if it makes any difference but the car has climate control and heated seats. halogen standard bulbs, it has a tow bar fitted.

car is under warranty but I use it for my job so I want to avoid it if it isn't necessary

I am local to you and have a pd tdi of that age which may help. What is the part number of the module, mine is 1K0 959 433 BT? And can you return to the old coding (perhaps from an older scan)?

where did you get the part number?

I don't think I have an older scan *oops* that's why I thought I'd just throw this request out there

The part number came from a scan of module 46.

No fault code found.

That is from a 2006MY L&K Estate PD140 after it was upgraded to enable cornering fogs, and I think the HID kit was fitted at this point as well

Below is the original coding with the original module, before a HID kit was fitted

No fault code found.

The part number came from a scan of module 46.

Which is CCM, not CECM

Oops thanks Andy. Ive got these two confused before...

where did you get the part number?

I don't think I have an older scan *oops* that's why I thought I'd just throw this request out there

That'll teach you - do a scan and save it before you change anything.

Its worse now though as everything is adaptations, so no way of recording easily what you have changed

Oops thanks Andy. Ive got these two confused before...

CCM, CECM, BCM

Easy to get them all confused!

really all I did change was tear drop wipes,  brake lights flash under emergency braking, lock when pulling off, unlock when you remove the key, and enable both rear foglights

I am 99% that this is all I changed

the thing that is going through my mind is the tow electric cable for the trailer lights? the cable is tucked away inside the rear bumper so did some water get in to the socket or something maybe :wall:
