Removing rear strut braces

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had trouble removing them?

Was moving a chest of drawers so thought I'd take mine off without any success, m8 spline tool one bolt came out without any problems and the rest seem to be spinning

Gonna try again tomorrow, anyone got any ideas?

At a guess the bolts have corroded into the rivnuts (not tried taking them off myself so guessing). If so you'll have to drill them out and replace :|

That or the captive nuts have come loose under the floor ( Nitro or I are definitely right; who's right depends on which technology was used tor the nuts).

You could have a punt with some PlusGas and hope you get lucky.

Looks like they're staying on then :(

What a stupid design tho, you would of thought they'd make them easily released
