vRS Oil Montoring Results

Thanks, I've arranged for the car to go in on Monday, local skoda dealer, they are going to do some monitoring and have asked that I come in for a top up of oil, they then want me to come back after 600 miles to check it and then repeat the process again and then they will give me their conclusions...

The dealer said they had two vRS in for oil monitoring tests, one needed a new oil breather pipe, but he wouldnt tell me what they did with the other vRS?

Humm...

The OIl Breather pipe is reported by One or two members here to have improved things.

It does nothing, they even say they will do a Breather Change on the Newer 2012-13 CTHE engines, yet they were Produced after the 2010-12 CAVE engines were getting the Breather Mod.

So the new engines have the same Breather as the MOd as Standard, or the Factory never went with those. !!!

If it is an oil burner then thats that, it needs fixed.

Short Journeys, lots of Cold Starts etc might well use more oil than Normal Longer Drives and Thrashes.

I lent my car,  a Non Oil User to someone for a few weeks, I did an Oil Change before they got it,

it came back having used oil, because the car was never getting warmed up doing only short trips, and thrashed hard from cold starts.

I got it back, topped it up, never used oil since.

all the best.
