That plate would only work for the newer mk2's wouldn't it?

I've heard a couple of people say that you can't put a newer plate on an older car eg: VR59ONE = 59 plate 2009/10

                                                                                                                                        Mk1 VRS = 2003-07 = plate can not be used for this car.

Although you can put an older plate on a newer car.
