vrs fabia gone!!!

2001 astra 2.2 sri :eek:

man this car IS quicker than than fabia vrs with green filter and pd160 intake witch i had?

Thats what I thought

telling, the vrs feels quicker than it relly is .

apart from 40-70 where the furby is very fast but other than that its not that fast.

I would be shocked if a 2.2 petrol of similar weight didnt outperform the Furby vRS

I beg to differ. The 2.2 16v Astra is less than 150bhp, and not that torquey. I'd say they are on a par to be honest. When fuel economy is factored in, I know which I'd prefer.

14bhp more and 100kg lighter so will be quite a bit quicker. Life's not all about fuel economy :P

All I was saying is that I think the performance is probably very similar between the 2 cars. The Astra has 14bhp more, but the Furby has 100Nm torque more...

its not relly a fair argument!

ones turbo diesle the other petrol. the astra relly is alot quicker 0-60 by id say 6-7 car lenths, but the vrs would easly make that up till they both hit 80 then bye bye "standerd" furby!

plus i have to say i am very gutted i had to sell the vrs but no choice!

and surprisingly the insurance is only a tenner a month more on the group 12 astra.

I know what I'd rather drive and its not a Vauxhall

oh yeah the build qulity of the 2001 astra compard to my now ex 2005 fab vrs is just not in the same leage!! astra id say 6-10 if the fab was 9-10

and you try selling a re-mapped modded skoda in a few years time, not going to be easy!
