Rear screen washer question

Featured Replies

I read somewhere on here that there are 2 places where the pipes for the rear screen washer tend to get disconnected.

Could someone explain where these places are and how I get to them please. I thought one was under the trim at the passenger side of the rear seat, that runs up the side of the back rest. Unfortunately it wasn't so I thought I'd ask the experts on here!

I've just sealed up the leaky door carriers on the passenger side - front carpet was wetter than the rear but I do not know if this all came from the leaky door or if one of the washer pipes is partly to blame?

Thank you  . I will have a look tomorrow, I suspect it is one of the places at the front of the car.

Mine was where it comes out of the bulkhead, on the right hand side of the engine bay about a 1/3rd of the way down from the top.

Best way i found was to have someone activate the rear washer while you look so you can see where the joint has disconnected/water is coming from. Oh and grab a torch as the pipe to connect to the joint is black and therefore not the easiest to see.

Good luck!

Simple solution - use rear washers, then move off. If there's water on the road ,it's the front bulkhead pipe- not easy to see. if not- it's either the joint over the rear seat (passenger side) ,or under the cover on the back door. Solution ( and PUN)- use at least 50% concentrate Solution  in bottle. Pure water is to dense and increases pressure in pipes making joints part .
