Headlight vibrating

Featured Replies

I've noticed my driver side headlight is vibrating. Must be irritating to other drivers as well me. The bottom of the reflector doesn't seem to be secured by anything and is flapping around.

Anyone any ideas? Note this is a pre-facelift Octy and I think the headlights may be slightly different to the later models?

Sounds like its come disconnected from the height adjuster. Does the beam move up and down when you operate the switch ?

Not sure, I'll have a look tonight. Is it easy to reattach?

Not 100% sure but I think youdhave to split the lamp.... Best excuse to Joey mod the headlights if you wanted to though!

Took the lens off the front, and quite right, adjuster detached. Not sure how/why though. Hopefully the M3 won't look like an 80s disco tomorrow and MOT in a week so will ask the garage to check adjustment then.

ive noticed mine doing this, i have been convincing myself it was every car i was behind at traffic lights but guess not lol

the lenses easy to remove? easy to re-attach?

Yeah I just had to loosen the headlight assembly and then unclip the clips that holds the glass on the front with a screwdriver. Then press carefully on the front and from the back to re-seat the balljoint of the headlight adjuster.
