Picked up a 04 plate Vrs on Saturday, 69,000 miles and FSH there's a few little issues to resolve but nothing major. Great improvement over my old diesel toledo, puts a massive grin on my face every time I drive it

I do like the red, nearly had a yellow one a couple of weeks back but it got snatched up before I got to view it.

The only problems really are that the passenger seat pops up a little when you get out of it and the paintwork needs looking at in places, like the pink spoiler ????

I'm getting a whine from the passenger side at slow speeds but getting new tyres so will have a look while it's up. I got a good warranty with the car so if it's anything major it should get sorted.

I've got a coilover kit, front and rear arbs on the toledo but they won't be going on until the warranty runs out

Eeeek another pesky red :D

Welcome to the forum!  Whatever your vRS questions, the guys on here will know the answer.  Enjoy the car!

Welcome along buddy. Great choice these are a tough old car!.

cheers guys, any one know what the whine could be? sort of sounds like somethings rubbing?

whining like a bearing or more of a scraping?

Mine made a bit of a scrape at low speeds because I bent the splash guard behind the disc a bit and it was making contact. Easily solved by bending it back slightly.

At 69000 I really wouldn't expect it to be anything major. Like I've said these are tough cars. I've only just had to start replacing wheel bearings as and mine has done nearly 120k, and my mechanic said that was a bit early! Like mentioned possible causes will be wheel bearings, drive shaft, gearbox problem but its unlikely at that mileage.
