My Fabia VRS Thread

Featured Replies

Morning,

Been Browsing this forum for years but backed out of buying a fabia vrs and ended up with a Ford Focus ST-2 got that to 285-290 bhp and then decided it was pointless running that and my daily corsa so I've sold both and brought myself a cracking little Silver fabia VRS 55k on the clock 2 owners and full skoda service history and cruise control at a bargain so well pleased :)

I have owned it for 3 weeks now and I've been pretty busy :)

here is a quick spec of whats been done:

Engine:

  •
  • Remapped to 170 bhp by Faboka Best bloke I have dealt with in a long time, I brought the tools i.e VCDS Lite and cable and MPPS etc and then sent him my logs he tweaked them and sent me 2 maps back (low and high torque) Spent about hour all in all on the phone he talked me through the entire process before I even parted with any money. TOP TOP bloke well worth the £ he charges . Got some more logging to do and then to send it back to see if any tweaks are needed.
  •
  • Egr delete
  •
  • Launch control
  •
  • Left foot breaking
  •

Chasis:

  •
  • Lowered on coilovers
  •
  • 15mm spacer front
  •
  • 20mm spacer rear
  •

Lights,Looks etc etc:

  •
  • Team heko wind deflectors
  •
  • Clear bulbs all round
  •
  • 5k hid Conversion
  •
  • 6k smd interior conversion
  •
  • Leon splitter
  •
  • Black grill surround
  •
  • debadge "Fabia"
  •
  • Spi-Vision to go on headlights
  •

Not sure whether to go down the route of Hybrid turbo or GTB turbo and go all the way or whether I should call it quits and save the money.

  • last night I added a sticker!!!!!!!!!!   then drove to london. first time using a proper camera(my brothers) didn't come out as well as I hoped but will do another one soon.

woops Not sure whats happened with the formatting :(

Good work mate. That's a lovely looking car you have. I too am getting my car mapped by Faboka. Cannot wait! But I need an FMIC first as im currently at 170bhp but to get more I'm going to need the front mount.

Looks very nice my friend!

I always like them in silver, especially if they've been machine polished to within an inch of their lives, and waxed!

Always wonder why they didn't make it available in metallic grey like Seat did with the Ibiza.

Sounds like you're very happy with Fabooka, and I guess what he offers is very cost efficient?

Cheers. And yes very and seemed more personal as he asked me to do some logs and stuff and how i want the maps i.e aggresive smooth etc very pleased

I'm now considering attempting to go for around 220bhp can anyone recommend which turbo is best suited obviously the less lag the better.

I see "Xman" does a Garrett GT1749VC hybrid turbo

What supporting mods do I need? I've done a search on here and see that the standard exhaust system is good enough for 300bhp!

Im guessing from what I have read

Front mount intercooler

Re-map

(clutch possibly)

On my current setup I have a faboka remap with EGR delete but this has been done through the Map not actually brought the EGR delete kit etc etc so do I need this

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Cheers mate. I think the hybrid 150 is the less laggy turbo to get 220bhp but theres the "budget" gtb kit aswell but pretty expensive I think.

We've got the same maps :) I've not even bothered loading the low torque one as I love the high torque one too much!!! I can't rate faboka high enough either he's a top bloke!

Your car is looking lovely, I really need to get some spacers after seeing yours

Think you have to be a freedom member mate

Like the Aston I wanted my dad to get one instead of his 911.

How much were the 312s if you don't mind me asking? Thinking of getting some if it's my discs that are warped and not my console bushes. I don't think you'll be impressed with the pd160 I'm thinking of selling mine

If im honest Im a tight fu**er when it comes to spending money so I made a couple of cheeky offers but.

the PD160 intake I brought off a fella from here for £40.00 collected

and the

312mm Discs pads and carriers I paid a very good £100.00 for collected

Good start mate, those photos are really good.

will look better with them badges i've ordered off of you. Top Bloke !!

  • Author

oh yeah ordered some black silver badges. from Bowen!

Replaced the standard headunit with a cheap pioneer one :)

Purchased a Gauge holder to fit nicely above the headunit. Pictures to come

Took the plunge and ordered 3 Gauages from R-spec prosport gauges in green to look oem with dash lights etc standard looking. these haven't arrived yet. I was shocked how pricey they were even after looking around. I got Boost(psi),Voltage and Oil pressure gauges for £157.00
