Hi guys after a little dissapointment about some other wheels im pretty much settles at putting either some RS6 wheels on the furby or some S3 ones. Can anyone recommend a good place to get a set of either in 17inch????

Oh....and which do we reckon would look better????

Of the 2 I'd try to find a set used genuine S3 wheels as the RS6 ones would have to be replicas and as such you'd have the usual associated problems of weight and strength.

There are some S3 alloys for sale on Cupranet at the mo, Local too I think!

Cheers Phil, the only reservation i have is they appear to be not very good replicas. i.e. the edge down the face is a lot sharper than it should be. I have looked at this site before and johnson tyres. Rochford tyres have v good replicas but no 17inch!!!

Nearly had them myself, but he didn't want to split the wheels & tyres (tyres useless on the Fabia).

S3 alloys would suit the Fabia better than the RS6's.

I have had an email from the store i was looking at them and they have said they might not fit over the calipers????? What is the measurement for the vRS? How do i know if they will or not?????

What about VW wheels like the ones I used to have?

LTC tyres is where I got my 18" from. Lots of retailers are selling them via ebay. Just type in RS6 alloy on ebay and you will see around 20 different vendors.

Why not genuine ones with 215/35 tyres, go on with ya bad self....do it.

I can find plenty of 18inch wheels but i had my heart set on the 17s as there are a good comprise between style and ride!

Any ideas as to why the wheels would not fit over th calipers????? Is this the et measurement???

It's because replicas are made from low grade alloy so have much deeper spokes in an attempt to improve strength.

So any ideas on how i know theyll actually fit??????

Or is it just a case of get em here and try em and if they dont then send em back or stick spacers on???

I've never heard of replicas not clearing standard calipers though other than the likes of R32 calipers and seat brembo/AP setups. Best bet is buy from a local supplier and ask to do a test fitement before paying.

I did this with the OZ Superleggeras due to the clearance issues with Brembos.
