Hi, have a Skoda Octavia 1999 1.8 AGN, every time its raining or wet my car start having problems with the engine after about 15 min driving, if i stop or slow down speed it start missfire. It dies out and when i start it again it will run for a second or dies out after i start and put the car in gear. Sometimes when i try to pump the pedal quickly, it will gain RPM and i push it up over 5000 RPM and it sometimes gat get going after that. Sometime i have to wait a little for it to start and run OK...

 

Please help me, i dont want to spend a lot of money at the garage because this fault is hard to find, i know from other cars that have had the same problem. 

Electricity is lazy and will short to nearest point. Lift bonnet and look in the dark for an obvious short from ht leads . Also has it had the coil pack recall
