I've noticed that sometimes when you put the ignition on to start the vehicle the bolero shows the VRS logo similar to the maxi dot, but on other occasions it stays blank until the music starts.

Should it display it every time the vehicle ignition is switched on?

Wanting to check because when I turned the ignition off and removed the key the last night, the bolero stayed on, wondering if it's possibly faulty.

Bolero does it occasionally, appears more so if you turn ignition on but don't start the car

+1 for this. Mine shows VRS more or less every time if I turn the ignition on but not the engine.
